Vision Meeting

Mr. Thompson and Mr. Carr met with interested parents and students to discuss the future of the Owen Valley Band and Guard program. A wide range of topics from recruiting to equipment and future trips were discussed. The hope is to create meaningful communication between the band and the community about what we should focus on over the next five years. If you would like to be a part of the dialogue come to our next vision meeting on June 2nd at 6pm in the bandroom to continue our discussion. A link to the left has the document we will continue to refine to make our plan!

White Noise Wins First BoB

Congratulations goes out to White Noise a trio from Greencastle that won the first ever Owen Valley Battle of the Bands. The Battle was held on April 17th in the Main Gym and included 5 great rock bands (Patton Sempre, Soma Wreck, Over Turf, No Compromise, and White Noise). Each group received 30 minutes to set up, play, and tear down. The audience voted for their favorite group ($1 per vote) to raise money for the Owen Valley band program. Thanks to all of our participants we hope to see you again next year! We would like to thank our sponsor Stable Studios for providing free studio time to the winner of our competition.
