Band and Guard Prepares for Weekend Performances

The members of the High School Band and the members of the Marching Band are preparing for a Saturday full of performances. This Saturday (September 14th) will begin with the members of the high school band perform at Lucas Oil Stadium during the Owen Valley/Edgewood football game. They will perform music from Green Day's hit musical "American Idiot" during half time. Some of the HS guard members have been working on a routine and will also perform.

After the game the members of the Marching Band will head down to Martinsville HS for their first competition of the year. This year's show is entitled "Cinderella: A Jazz Fable". The group has just finished learning the whole show, but will only be previewing the first two movements on Saturday: "Once Upon a Ragtime" and "Starlight Memories". Next week after the Apple Butter parade, the group will perform the whole show at Paoli High School's Invitational, adding movements: "Two Seconds to Midnight" and "The Show Fits".
